Every figure on this page is computed from the inputs entered, by the method stated below it. Rollupvo publishes no tax rule, no accounting standard, no margin and no par: the lead times, the safety weeks, the margins and the ownership shares are yours, and the defaults are a worked example to replace with your own figures.

This is a multi-store stock transfer sheet, the piece of multi store inventory management software an owner of two stores otherwise does on the back of a delivery note. Each store's units on hand over its weekly sales is its weeks of cover; the units that give both stores the same cover is the transfer; the units both need to hold your supplier's lead time plus a week, less what they already hold, is the reorder; and everything on hand at cost is the stock value. Every figure is yours; the sheet publishes no rule about what cover a store should carry. Free, on the page, no account; the paid plan saves every sheet against the store and the count.

Weeks of cover, the number every transfer reads

Cover is on-hand divided by weekly sales: 180 units at 30 a week is six weeks, 40 units at 40 a week is one. The sheet works it per store so the imbalance is a number before anyone drives a van. What cover you want each store to hold is your decision; the sheet works what they hold.

The transfer that levels the two stores

The units to move from the fuller store to the emptier one so both end at the same cover comes out of the four figures: on the worked example 86 units leave Store A and both stores sit at three weeks. Move fewer and the gap stays; move more and it flips. The sheet shows the levelling figure and the cover after it.

The reorder after the transfer, against your lead time

Levelling shares the stock; it does not add any. The reorder is what both stores together need to hold the lead time plus a week of sales, less what they already hold: 70 a week over four weeks is 280, less 220 on hand, is 60 to order. Your lead time is an input, and the sheet publishes no rule about the cushion.

Multi store inventory management software: common questions

Is this free multi store inventory management software?

It is a free sheet, not a system: enter two stores' on-hand and weekly sales, the cost per unit and your supplier's lead time, and it works each store's cover, the transfer that levels them, the cover after it, the reorder and the stock value on the page with no account and no card. Rollupvo Pro adds your company name and saves every sheet against the store.

How is a stock transfer between two stores calculated?

From the weeks of cover. The transfer that gives both stores the same cover is the fuller store's on-hand times the emptier store's weekly sales, less the emptier store's on-hand times the fuller store's sales, over the two stores' combined weekly sales. The sheet works it and shows the cover both stores land on.

What lead time should I enter?

Your supplier's own, in weeks, from order to delivery at the store. The worked example uses three weeks to show the arithmetic and nothing more. The reorder the sheet returns holds that lead time plus one week across both stores; if you keep a bigger cushion, add it to the lead time.
